Richard Petty Motorsports Hires Kevin Manion as Crew Chief of No. 9 Team

Sam Hornish, Jr. 9With 12 Sprint Cup races in the books for 2015, the two-car team of Richard Petty Motorsports is making a change to crew chiefs for the No. 9 Team driven this year by Sam Hornish, Jr.

Kevin Manion has been assigned as the crew chief of the No. 9 Ford, beginning his duties immediately and will call the Spongebob Squarepants 400 thise Saturday night race at Kansas Speedway (7:30pm ET).

The new No. 9 crew chief led Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing to wins at both the Daytona 500 and the Brickyard 400 in 2010. Earlier in his career, Manion also earned two XFINITY Series championships with driver Martin Truex, Jr.
