Predictions for 2014 Camping World RV Sales 301

New Hampshire Motor SpeedwayThe week after Daytona is always interesting, but this weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway should be extra dicey.

With the rain affecting everything at Daytona from qualifying to the race itself, drivers are chomping at the bit to run the full race, many of which with a chip on their shoulders. With a pair of big wrecks on the Central Florida Super speedway, lots of drivers will be looking for a better finish to the New Hampshire race, but also some will be looking for a little revenge for contact at Daytona.

With the younger Busch brother on the pole, expect him to finish well, but I think and hope one of the two full-time drivers for Michael Waltrip Racing will be in victory lane come Sunday. The other drivers who should fare well are the Richard Childress Racing drivers. Both MWR and RCR tested at New Hampshire less than two weeks ago and most share some previous success at the track.

The NH test session close to the actual race signifies both teams are hungry for a win and see it as a real opportunity.

Brian Vickers 55As a huge Clint Bowyer fan, I would absolutely love to see the number 15 Five Hour Energy Toyota in victory lane for the first time in two years. But if I have to pick one driver who’s looking even hungrier, it’s Bowyer’s teammate in the No. 55 who’s been close to Victory Lane.

Both Toyotas are showing speed and more consistency as we get deeper into the 2014 season, but Vickers ended second last week in Daytona’s shortened race and was very upset with NASCAR calling the race. As long as his equipment is reliable in New Hampshire, I think the Aaron’s Toyota will be victorious Sunday afternoon.

As a huge MWR fan, I know I’m biased, but considering all the circumstances, New Hampshire is the best chance yet this season for one of the TRD-powered MWR cars to win.

BTW, I’m getting the whole ClosetNASCARFan family to make predictions weekly from here on out. I’m working on a slicker graphic but for now, here are the family’s predictions for the New Hampshire race:

Ryan (ClosetNASCARFan) Brian Vickers Clint Bowyer
Amanda Carl Edwards Jeff Gordon
Tyler (NASCAR’s Littlest Big Fan) Brad Keselowski Kyle Busch
Nolan Kevin Harvick Kevin Harvick
