Michael Waltrip just can’t stop racing the restrictor plate races. Even as his co-owned race shop’s final running is about to occur at Talladega Superspeedway, Michael Waltrip Racing in partnership with Premium Motorsports will run a car for Waltrip to continue his run of plate races.
Waltrip had earlier said he was committed to starting the 2016 running of the Daytona 500 in February 2016.
“I’m going to Daytona in February with Maxwell House,” said Waltrip. “There will be some cars left over at MWR and I’m probably in line to get a good Toyota engine, being a partner with those guys from the beginning.”

Waltrip though earlier tonight tweeted that he would be adding the 2015 fall Talladega race in the No. 98 in a car prepared at MWR in partnership with Premium Motorsports. The blue paint scheme accented with white and orange looks very similar to the No. 15 paint scheme Clint Bowyer ran earlier in the year with Maxwell House as the primary sponsor.
