Earlier this morning, veteran NASCAR driver, David Ragan announced he will be stepping down from full-time NASCAR Cup competition at the completion of the 2019 season.
Currently, in his 13th consecutive season, Ragan said he will continue to race on a part-time basis in various race series, but would cease full-time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series competition in November.
“There aren’t enough words to thank everyone who has helped me in my career and to all the fans who have supported me in this journey. It’s not over, but I’m ready to spend more time at home,” Ragan said in an article posted on NASCAR.com.
Over the course of Ragan’s Cup career, the driver has a pair of wins, 15 top 5’s, 40 top 10’s, and two poles. He has an average start of 25, with an average finish of 24.2
